Now in its fourth year, our Schweitzer Fellows for Life "Leadership by Example" Lecture series invites exemplary individuals to share their stories and advice about promoting social justice. We kick off the series on Thursday, June 2nd with guest speaker Dr. Richard David, an attending neonatologist and co-director of the neonatal intensive care unit at Stroger Hospital. Dr. David's clinical work involves care for newborns from low-income minority and immigrant populations in Chicago. His research focuses on perinatal epidemiology and more specifically on the relation between social inequality - especially racism in its various forms - and birth outcomes. Dr. David's lecture will be held at Loyola University Chicago, Beane Hall, 111 E. Pearson St., 13th Floor. The event is free
and open to the public, but reservations are strongly recommended
. Please send an email to RSVP@hmprg.org
