Schweitzer Symposium: Mass Incarceration as a Public Health Issue

On October 28, 2013, the 2013-14 Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellows presented a symposium on
Mass Incarceration as a Public Health Issue:
Health Inequities within the Prison Industrial Complex


The Schweitzer Fellows invited a diverse panel of experts to discuss  inequities that place various populations at higher risk for incarceration, as well as the health inequities experienced by those within the prison system.  We thank the Loyola University Chicago  School of Social Work for hosting this event.
