Health & Medicine Policy Research Group and the Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellowship Program are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2016 Schweitzer Leadership Award honoring an individual who has done significant work to mitigate the social determinants of health in their community, and whose commitment to service has influenced and inspired others.
This year, we are excited to honor Meade Palidofsky, founder and artistic director of Storycatchers Theatre, a youth development arts organization that prepares young people to make positive life choices through the process of writing, producing, and performing original musical theatre inspired by personal stories. An award-winning playwright and lyricist, in her role at Storycatchers, Ms. Palidofsky has produced more than 100 original musicals based on the real life stories of incarcerated youth in Illinois working to create brighter futures for court-involved youth.
Ms. Palidofsky will be honored as part of our Schweitzer 20th Anniversary weekend from April 29-May 1, 2016 at a reception on Friday, April 29, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Loyola University, Regents Hall. For more information or to register, click here.
