Health & Medicine Policy Research Group was formed 29 years ago by an activist group of clinicians, social scientists, health care executives and policy analysts to advocate for health equity and improved public health.

From the beginning, we have also set out to position Health & Medicine as an “honest broker” capable of bringing together a critical mass of stakeholders to achieve progressive change in a very complex, and some would say reactionary, period for health services. Our commitment and our approach have earned us respect from many quarters and we have become a leading voice for health reform in Illinois.
