Webinar: Creating A Trauma-Informed Hospital-Lessons from the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

Jul 10, 2017

On July 10, 2017, the Illinois ACEs Response Collaborative hosted a webinar on “Creating A Trauma-Informed Hospital-Lessons from the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.”

The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has been at the forefront of the movement to create trauma-informed hospitals. Using the Sanctuary Model and the will of many champions within the hospital, this medical system is several years into a 10-year process to become trauma-informed. View the webinar below as Dr. Heather Paradis (Medical Director, Community Services) and Jennifer Hammel (Early Childhood Development and Trauma Informed Care Director) explain the genesis of this major systems change movement, lessons learned along the way, successful elements of the transformation, challenges, sustainability issues, evaluation, and future goals.
