2020 HMPRG Awards Gala
Health & Medicine’s Annual 2020 HMPRG Awards Gala celebrated and honored the public health champions in our community who transform and improve the lives and well-being of all, both every day and in times of crisis. This event has grown more and more meaningful and inspirational over the years, and it is our hope that this free event allowed more people than ever to celebrate our collective voice!

Thaddeus Tukes
The Chicago Tribune says musician and composer Thaddeus Tukes “brings poetry to the vibraphone.” Thaddeus showed prodigious musical talent at a young age, and was awarded the ILMEA top high school vibraphonist in the state at 16. He is a graduate of Whitney Young High School and Northwestern University, where he pioneered the first degree in jazz vibraphone studies. Thaddeus is a Luminarts fellow, Vivian K Harsh Society Awardee, and president of newly-formed record label, Vibestown Studios. Thaddeus has been featured at Carnegie Hall in New York, Symphony Center in Chicago, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival, Hyde Park Jazz Festival, and a host of other locations. He currently performs as a bandleader and special guest with various ensembles throughout the country. https://linktr.ee/TukesVibes
