As we reflect on the teachings of Dr. King, his words continue to resonate with profound relevance, particularly in the context of the migrant crisis in Chicago and the ongoing struggle for healthcare for all and a just society. His belief in our interconnectedness reminds us that the challenges faced by one community affect us all, and our efforts toward equity and justice mean valuing all people equally.

This MLK Day, let’s renew our commitment to advocating for those who are marginalized.  We celebrate the progress made in our state towards inclusive health care and acknowledge the long road ahead to ensure that every person, regardless of their background or status, has access to the care and supports they need.
