Health & Medicine is excited to welcome Max Clermont, MPH, and Chloe Gurin-Sands, MPH, to our Board of Directors.
Max Clermont, MPH, Senior Project Lead with Partners In Health, has engaged with Health & Medicine through his management of the Vaccine Corps Partnership, a collaboration of multiple stakeholders from across the Chicagoland community dedicated to coordinating resources and learnings to ensure all Chicagoans can access the COVID-19 vaccine as well as strengthening the public health workforce. He has partnered with Health & Medicine to shape the Partnership’s policy, advocacy, and public workforce agenda. During his time working at UChicago Medicine’s Trauma Center, Max convened regularly with Health & Medicine to learn about the best ways to integrate trauma-informed practices. He is excited to uplift the work of Health & Medicine as a model for the national conversations happening right now about health equity.
Chloe Gurin-Sands, MPH, Manager of Health Equity & Planning at Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC), has worked alongside Health & Medicine staff in external initiatives such as the Partnership for Healthy Chicago, and has most recently partnered on the #DenyThePermit efforts. She is most excited to continue to grow Health & Medicine’s “Thriving and Equitable Communities” priorities. Chloe joined MPC in 2016. She is a public health professional whose work across the organization includes policy analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, community engagement, and technical assistance and coaching.
