In 2021, we are celebrating our 25th year of the Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellows Program at Health & Medicine Policy Research Group. In our 25 years, we’ve worked with over 670 graduate students in the Chicago area, students who have gone on to be the public health, equity, and justice-oriented nurses, physicians, social workers, optometrists, physical therapists, academics, and community members who we trust and rely on for thoughtful, culturally humble care and justice-minded advocacy. The Fellowship has developed leaders and trusted partners in the effort to create a more just world where great care is accessible to all people and systemic inequities are challenged at every level.
