
2017 Schweitzer Leadership Award Celebration
On Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Rush University Medical Center Health & Medicine Policy Research Group and the Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellowship Program celebrated our 2017 Schweitzer Leadership Award winner Ai-jen Poo. Each year, the Schweitzer Leadership Award honors an individual like Ms. Poo who has done significant work to mitigate the social determinants of health in their community, and whose commitment to service has influenced and inspired others. The Executive Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Ms. Poo is an award-winning activist, thought leader, social innovator, and a leading voice in domestic workers’ rights and family care advocacy.
