Health & Medicine’s Illinois ACEs Response Collaborative Invites You to Kickstart Your Trauma-Informed Transformation

Preventing childhood adversity, building resilience, and promoting healing from trauma throughout life have always been critical to Illinois’ future, and these issues have taken on new urgency as the state addresses the immediate and long-term impacts of COVID-19 and confronts the historical and contemporary oppressions of racism and discrimination. Whether you are a healthcare professional, teacher, or parent, you can play a role in enacting this statewide response to addressing trauma and promoting resilience.

Released in May 2021 by the Illinois ACEs Response Collaborative, the Action Plan to Address Childhood Adversity in Illinois was developed through a year-long, multi-sector working group with partners from across the state. Now, we invite you to engage with the Five Planks of the Action Plan to be more trauma-informed in your work, family, and community.
