On August 29, Health & Medicine Policy Research Group submitted a letter to Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago City Council calling for more funding for the Chicago Department of Health. Protecting and improving the public’s health requires a fully funded public health system. The expiration of COVID-19 relief dollars threatens the vital public health programming of the department.
